2. What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic Therapy focuses on the connection between body and mind to help process and release trauma, stress, and stored emotions. I use breathwork as a foundational practice, paired with movement, visualization, meditation, sound, and 9D Breathwork to support deep nervous system healing and reconnection to wholeness. 3. What is 9D Breathwork Sound Therapy?

9D Breathwork is a guided breathwork experience enhanced with 9-dimensional audio technology, including binaural beats, isochronic tones, frequency-based sound healing, and hypnotic guidance to support deep emotional release and transformation. Learn More

4. Is breathwork safe for everyone?

While breathwork can be deeply healing, it may not be suitable for everyone. Those with certain medical or psychiatric conditions should consult with a healthcare provider before participating. A detailed intake form is required before any breathwork session.

5. What’s the difference between your breathwork offerings?

  • Soma+IQ™ Breathwork: A more gentle, body-centered practice focused on awareness, regulation, and release. Sessions are guided by Elizabeth and focus on using the Soma+IQ Method. Learn More

6. What are Integration Sessions?

Integration Sessions are follow-up support spaces that help you apply insights, emotional breakthroughs, and nervous system shifts from previous sessions into daily life. These may include guided reflection, regulation practices, and embodiment tools tailored to your journey.

7. What happens during a session?

Each session is custom curated. You may be guided through breathing, mindful movement, sound immersion, visualization, or integrative dialogue. Aftercare and post-session support are provided. Learn More

8. What do I need for a session?

A quiet, comfortable space, water, journal, yoga mat, blanket, and eye covering are encouraged.

9. Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! All services are available online via Zoom, including private and group sessions.

10. Is this a replacement for traditional talk therapy?

While deeply therapeutic, these offerings are not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Somatic Therapy can pair exceptionally well with traditional talk therapy—each supports the other. Many clients find that working with both allows for deeper integration, insight, and healing. These practices are meant to complement, not replace, professional mental health care.

 

How Does Breathwork Work?

Breathwork involves various techniques that alter your breathing rhythm and depth. This can include:

  • Deep, slow breathing: Calming the nervous system and reducing stress.

  • Rapid, rhythmic breathing: Energizing the body and releasing emotions.

  • Holding the breath: Shifting into a meditative state and accessing deeper levels of consciousness.

These techniques work by:

  • Increasing oxygen intake: Nourishing the body and brain.

  • Activating the parasympathetic nervous system: Promoting relaxation and reducing stress hormones.

  • Releasing emotional blockages: Allowing for deeper emotional processing and healing.

 

What are the Benefits of Breathwork?

Breathwork has been shown to offer a wide array of benefits:

Is Breathwork Safe?

Breathwork is generally safe for most people when practiced responsibly. However, it's essential to be aware of potential side effects and contraindications.

Possible Side Effects:

  • Temporary physical sensations: Tingling, lightheadedness, muscle cramps, changes in body temperature.

  • Emotional release: Crying, laughter, intense emotions.

  • Altered states of consciousness: Vivid imagery, mystical experiences.

Contraindications:

Breathwork may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions, including:

  • Cardiovascular issues

  • High blood pressure

  • Asthma

  • Epilepsy

  • Glaucoma

  • Recent surgery

  • A history of mental illness

  • Pregnancy- some forms of breathwork can induce labor

 

It's crucial to consult with your doctor before starting any new somatic breathwork practice, especially if you have underlying health conditions. Medical release will be required for any of the above conditions.

 

Breathwork for Children:

While breathwork can be beneficial for children, it's essential to approach it with caution and ensure parental presence and guidance. Children may experience intense emotions or physical sensations, and having a parent present can provide support and reassurance. Intake sessions will be required prior to any breathwork sessions with children ages 18 and under. 

 

Breathwork is a transformative practice that can help you access deeper levels of well-being. By incorporating conscious breathing into your life, you can unlock your body's innate healing potential and live a more vibrant and fulfilling life.

 

​Terms

Because my client sessions & web services are custom curated, heart-centered, provided with great consideration and often involve venue expenses, and because I value my time and yours, I do not offer refunds.

All investments in your personal healing & wellness, as well as your business experiences with me are final.

With that said, I do offer rescheduling and credits towards future sessions and experiences if you provide me with 24 hour notice and under special circumstances.

Waiver/Hold Harmless

Somatic Therapy, Breathwork, Meditation, & Coaching Clients:

​All information shared between practitioner and client is strictly confidential. No medical advice or treatment. I am not a medical doctor. What I offer is supportive, educational wellness care that can be incorporated into your daily life using common sense and in addition to other healing modalities providing you do not have any of the below listed issues and only when your medical team advises it is safe for you to include breathwork in your wellness routine.
